The HP ProBook 6450B has been updated today as part of HP’s Spring notebook refresh that included many updates to the ProBook lines. In addition to powerful Intel processors the HP ProBook 6450B includes some very useful HP software that allows users to gain access to important PIM information without fully booting into Windows.

The Probook 6450 has 14 inches LCD panel with high resolution. The notebook has 1600×900 pixels with contrast ratio of 16:9. It can handle large spreadsheets easily with the ability to handle two windows side by side. The limited size of HP ProBook 6550b battery icons and fonts should be sufficient for users. The 6450b ProBook screen has anti glare coating which neutralizes matt finish. It also attempts to give good sunlight legibility even outside the room. The viewing angles are limited and the colors portrayed are good more then sRGB.

The HP ProBook 6450b Laptop Computer is a work-oriented notebook model running an Intel Core i5-450M 2.4GHz CPU, with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. It runs on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit OS, and includes recovery media for Win 7 Professional 64-bit and Windows XP Pro. The HP ProBook 6450b has a 14″ LED backlit HD anti-glare 1366 x 768 display. On top of these convenient features the ProBook 6450B includes a magnesium alloy support structure to provide a durable notebook and HP DuraFinish to prevent the keys from wearing quickly. Additionally the 6450B has hard drive protection to lock the drive in case of a fall and a spill resistant keyboard that drains out small amounts of liquid to prevent damage to the notebook. The ProBook 6450 scores 4969 on 3D Mark 03, 1922 on 3D Mark 06 and it scores 3371 on 3D Mark 05. The ventilation of the notebook was tested and we feel that it is less noisy than its predecessor but its heavy load could be easily felt. The temperature of the desktop is maintained at low level. The place where the surface temperature goes above 40 degrees has limited coverage. It could be safely kept on the lap. The maximum temperature is measured as 88 degrees. The ProBook has a six cell HP ProBook 4515s battery of 55Wh energy. The HP recorded a system of 3hours and 55 minutes which is really impressive. The downside of this notebook is its image contrast and other minor things. The changes made to this notebook are good and helpful to complete it as a business line laptop.
